Grandis Rose 2023
Fresh vintage of Grandis Rose is tasting great! The incorporation of Semillon into the blend alongside Shiraz and Merlot means that you’re not only getting gorgeous red berries, but also some lemon/lime zippyness. Delish!

Choosing the wines for a pack is always hard. So many choices, decision paralysis. This pack however was easy. I just walked around the shop and picked 6 wines I want to drink right now. Unsurprisingly they are all red!
Orbis Grenache /Tempranillo – Mclaren Vale, SA
Orbis just won Young gun of Wine for 2023 and all their wines are pretty great. This one is a blend of two classic Spanish varieties. Fresh, complex and spicy.
La Bollina ‘Minetta” – Piedmont Italy
A brand new vintage of an old favourite, and for good reason. A beautiful expression of Barbera, from the great wine region of Piedmont. It does an amazing job of representing the notes that you’d expected from Barbera (think plush blackberry, liquorice, spice) whilst still remaining exciting and a pleasure to drink. Great acid and dusty tannins, throw this in a glass while you’re munching on some meaty pizza.
Geologie Cabernet Sauvignon
This Cabernet Sauvignon displays beautiful rich and ripe flavours of blackcurrants, plums, spice and beautifully integrated oak. Smooth and delicious. It’s now had about 5 years to mature and is developing beautiful, velvity, silky tannins that drink like a dream.
Tornicola Negroamaro – Salento, Italy
Next I wanted something with a bit of age. If you have never had Negroamaro before it’s a pretty cool grape from the south of Italy. This wine is from 2016 and tastes a bit like old Chianti. Rich and complex with red fruits, cherry cola and spices.
Leo Italian blend, Adelaide hills, SA
This wine is named after my son Leo and is a blend of Italian varietals. Nero D’avola for body and structure, Carbonic Aglianicio for juicy, fruity mouthfeel and Dolcetto for vibrancy and freshness. This one can age for as long as you like but is drinking just lovely right now.
Lucky’s Syrah Pinot Noir, Orange NSW
This is one of the first wines we started making back when people thought we were weird for blending Shiraz and Pinot Noir (maybe they still do). Because we have been making it for a while I always seem to forget about it when there is so much flashy and new. We opened a bottle for a trade tasting the other day and it was one of my favourites so I thought I should give it a little love.
Cheers!
Dave
Notes from Distillery:
An unconventionally smooth navy strength gin that boasts double Juniper. Featuring triple citrus tiers of herbaceous Lemon Myrtle, bitter Ruby Grapefruit, and sweet Mandarin, however, Rose Geranium is the standout botanical here. Picked fresh from our own distillery garden, our Rose Geranium provides a lingering composition of beautiful herbaceous and floral notes. Finally, a mild buzz fills your lips whilst notes of garden rain remain from the freshly collected mountain rainwater.
Enjoy in a tall Gin & Tonic or, to get the full effect, pour a nip into your glass, add a drop of water or cube of ice and let this gin open right up.

Brand spankin’ new vintage of this beloved Pinot Noir by the From Sunday Wine team, sourced from an unlikely location! During the bushfires of 2020, the Pinot component of their Luckys red blend was smoke effected, so they were forced to look elsewhere which lead them to some promising grapes growing in Murry Darling. After tasting the resulting wine destined for the blend, they knew they needed to bottle some of this Pinot separately as well, and Azurescens was born! Loads of juicy red fruits, with a little more body due to the warmer climate.
Nueva Prosecco is the perfect drink to savour the good times life throws your way!
The grapes are a special Northern Italian variety that are grown right here in the Murray Darling. The result of this Italian-Australian collaboration is a refreshing Prosecco with tasting notes of crisp green apples and pears, with a clean citrus finish and notes of white flowers.
Andrea Miró, the youngest representative of the Catalan delegation that has traveled to ProWein, recommends us a wine to start the youngest with the tasting, El Naturalment Blanc de Celler Jordi Miró.
The new 2022 vintage of La Bollina’s Minetta has arrived and it’s tasting amazing!
A broody, dark red made from 100% Barbera grapes. There are violet reflections, spice with hints of blackberry and licorice and black pepper. The taste is full and dry, but also pleasant and generous. Perfect with pasta dishes, raw meats, roasts and mature cheeses. Do like the Italians do and serve it at 16-18C.
