This Brunello di Montalcino was traditionally made from vineyards located in the southwest of Montalcino facing the sea. This is Montalcino’s hottest area and here the soil consists of sandstone and rocky marl, which allows the production of well-structured, mineral wines. This beautiful wine is intense and elegant with nuances of ripe red fruit and intriguing herbal notes. It’s well-balanced on the palate with a lively acidity that lends vitality and freshness to a complex wine. A hint of black pepper accompanies the finish with the softest of tannins being the hallmark.
