Often referred to by Venetians as the “wine to muse by”, an Amarone is made from carefully selected bunches of the best grapes from the best vineyards on the best hills. These spectacular grapes are then dried or dehydrated slowly to reduce water content and enhance flavour before fermentation for four months. These dried grapes are crushed, fermented and aged for three years in French oak. So it’s a special wine. Drink with special friends.
