White Gate Wine Co. Syrah 2022

From the Winemaker:

“Picked quite early here again, thrown a lot of whole bunch at this wine, basketpressed to seasoned hogsheads.

We’re in the green zone here with a very zippy crunchy Syrah. The fruits off some pretty heavy dark black clays on the Valley floor, so we get serious colour from very minimal extraction. It does not taste how it looks though, light plush mouthfeel with crunch and tannin for days. Will suit some time in the cellar too.”
