Mainenter ‘Vigna Cengelle’ Soave

The Mainente family first bought land in Soave in the 1930’s for both wine production, as well as a variety of other agricultural products. Since the 1950’s the family has been laser focused on making exceptional quality white wines from their 12 hectares of vineyard, split into a few small sites within the greater Soave region.

Winemaker notes:

Soave Vigna Cengelle is produced with grapes grown at the foot of Monte Tenda near the town of Soave just outside the classico area. The soil is calcaric and clay. The vine training system is the traditional Veronese pergola. The vines are 35 years old on average. Harvested at the beginning of October. Fermented and aged in temperature controlled cement tanks. The wine is bottled in spring. Medium intensity nose with white blossom. Fruity pear and red apple. Medium body,
pleasant and balanced.
