The Mainente family first bought land in Soave in the 1930’s for both wine production, as well as a variety of other agricultural products. Since the 1950’s the family has been laser focused on making exceptional quality white wines from their 12 hectares of vineyard, split into a few small sites within the greater Soave region.
Winemaker notes:
The grapes used to produce Soave Classico Tenda come from a single vineyard situated on the historical hills of Monte Tenda, within the designated Soave Classico region. The vineyard’s soil is characterized by its limestone composition. The vines are trained according to the traditional Veronese pergola method and have an average age exceeding 30 years.
The grapes are harvested in mid-October. Fermentation and aging take place in temperature-controlled cement tanks for one year. Straw-yellow color. Aroma of white flowers and white pulp fruit. In the mouth it is fullbodied and harmonious.
