Lush and round, with velvety textured tannins carrying ample layers of plum sauce, crushed currant and fig fruit and dark liquorice notes. Stays admirably fresh on the hefty finish, with a nice buried black tea hint. Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. 92 points. James Molesworth Wine Spectator Insider

Style: rich textured and full bodied. Varieties: 70% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon Colour: Dark ruby red color with a black core. Nose: Dark red fruit aromas with hints of tobacco, chocolate, vanilla, cassis and clove. Palate: The mouth-feel is smooth, fruity with very good acidity. The long finish is balanced with sweet tannins. This wine has a good length and cleanness. When to drink: drink now or up until 2020.
Winemaking: This wine is aged for 12 months in French medium toasted oak barrels. Then, bottled and kept in storage for 10 more months, to achieve the perfect balance of all its components. Grapes are harvested manually and when off the vine their temperature is reduced in a cooling tunnel (approx. 15 degrees Fahrenheit). Stems and berries are selected twice. These grapes are gently placed in concrete fermentation tanks, where, after three to four days of cold maceration, fermentation begins. The winery has been designed in such a way that the whole winemaking process is gravity induced without the use of pumps. The concrete fermentation tanks were designed by Carlos Pulenta himself. Inside the tank walls there are water pipes that can circulate cold or hot water. The temperatures of the water are computer controlled. The main advantages of this system are thermal inertia and micro-oxygenation.
