From the From Sunday crew comes this showstopping Pinot. Sam, a viticulturist, manages an organic vineyard in the Adelaide Hills where this beautiful fruit was found. This super-rare German clone of Pinot Noir, is only one of a couple of known plantings in the country. The makers wanted to show off the hard work Sam had put into the vineyard and to create a really vibrant, fresh and juicy wine. To showcase the fruit – and nothing but the fruit – this wine was made with low intervention; indigenous yeasts, an open fermenter, no oak, no additions, minimal filtering and minimal sulfites. It’s the kind of wine the winemakers like to drink. Chill it down in the warmer months. It’s also part of the Childish Wines range by From Sunday Winemakers. This wine was inspired by the winemakers children, who created the labels. Also available in this range is the Polly Sangiovese, and the Willow Grüner Veltliner.
