Thomas Boutin is a bright young star of the Loire Valley, making excellent value natural wines off his tiny plots in Rochefort sur Loire and Saint Aubin. A producer primarily focused on his vineyards and outstanding fruit quality, he farms organically and biologically, finding a natural balance in his vines that allows him to grow grapes without chemicals or even copper sprays.
The La Quillette blends the two famous red varieties of the Loire; Gamay & Cabernet Franc with a splash of Grolleau. It’s a bouyant, vibrant red that shows juicy blue fruits, a lick of crushed herbs and a lip smacking finish that drags you back to the glass for more.
