Hand-picked fruit is gently pressed and fermented at very low temperature, rested in stainless for an extended period with consistent battonage. Pronounced aromatics, fresh acidity and a wide field of fruit and florals.

Two new in from @orbis_wines ! First vintage of t

Two new in from @orbis_wines !

First vintage of their highly anticipated Fiano is in, and it’s bursting with white peach, lemon rind, and golden apple. All this plus some great structure added from a little barrel ferment. Second vintage of their Albariño is in, and somehow it’s topped last years! Think fresh melon, and preserved lemon fruit, with some green olive and beeswax characteristics on palate. Delicious stuff!

Three new vintages of White Gate are making their way into the shops! Misfit is the newcomer of the bunch, and has quite quickly become a new team favourite! Designed as a chilled red, it’s a Cabernet Franc dominated blend with some Petite Verdot, Viogner and Semillon! The new vintage of Ramekin is also tasting delicious, unsurprisingly. Both of these are definitely worth trying, and the new vintage white blend will be in soon…

Our first iteration of Bangers was easily one our favourite events of last year, and since we’ve had so many new cracker affordable wines come through it’s time for round 2! The premise is the same: we taste through six of our favourite wines that won’t leave you with only buttons and lint in your pockets.
