C. Tombacco - Pecorino - 2015
Terre Di Chieti, Italy
Pecorino is a grape varietal named after the sheep that love to eat the grapes (pecorino is "sheep" in Italian). It also shares its name with one of the most delicious cheeses around and coincidentally tastes good beside it, too.
Complex citrus and a touch of tropical fruits on the nose with soft notes of spice. Great texture and racy acidity on the tongue matched with lush fruits and a long finish.
C.Tombacco is a wine line that aims to reevaluate traditional Italian grapes by putting the accent on the specific territory of each region and on their typical grapes. What we get are wines with a strong, genuine character that are presented with the first ever historical labels used by the winery.
