Salta - Argentina
Arido Torrontes from producer Bodega Vistalba, is known as "the liar" in its native Argentina for it's misleading nose. Coming from the super high altitude vineyards (3000m+) of Salta, this super dry white smells like a Gewrztraminer or sweet wine with huge floral aromas but is actually bone dry. Has to be tasted to be believed. Best served chilled with a platter of cheese.
